Custom and Network Options

Thinking about the computer you're installing on right now...

Choose I'll be using QuickBooks on this computer when:

• This computer stores company files that DO NOT need to be shared with other computers OR this computer does not store company files.
• You use QuickBooks on this computer.

Examples:

1. QuickBooks and the company file(s) are stored on this computer AND you won't share the company file(s) with other computers on the network.
2. You use QuickBooks on this computer over a network to open company file(s) on a different computer.

Choose I'll be using QuickBooks on this computer, AND I'll be storing our company file here so it can be shared over our network when:

• You store company files on this computer that DO need to be shared so other users on the network can open them.
• You allow multiple remote desktop connections to this computer to access company files.

Examples:

1. QuickBooks and the company file(s) are stored on this computer AND you will share the company file(s) with other computers over a network.
2. This computer stores and shares company files as a Terminal Server to allow your users to access QuickBooks through remote desktop.

Choose I will NOT be using QuickBooks on this computer. I will be storing our company file here so it can be shared over our network when:

• No one uses QuickBooks on this computer. It only stores company file(s) that other users open over a network.
